In April 2022, SOM will begin accepting applications for Year One—a comprehensive program that allows our newest team members to get the most of their first year in the profession. Students completing a degree in 2022 in architecture, engineering, urban planning, or interior design are invited to apply. Selected applicants will have the opportunity to work with senior-level mentors, join colleagues on site visits, explore our project archives, receive resources to succeed on the ARE exam, and more.

Launched in 2018, the Year One program offers entry-level employees the opportunity to engage with SOM in an immersive way. Program participants supplement their project-based work with a range of activities and creative initiatives.

Applications for the 2022 Year One cohort are now open starting April 4th and will be reviewed on a rolling basis. Offers will be extended through August 12th, with a required start date no later than September 6, 2022. For full listing of open positions, please visit our Careers page.
