Located in the Chicago’s West Loop, the new mixed-use workplace 800 Fulton Market has been selected for an AIA National Interiors Award. Integrated structural, architectural, and interior design optimize building systems and allow for maximum tenant comfort and wellness. Designed as an extension of the building’s vibrant surroundings and material palette, the 40-foot-high lobby is inspired by piazzas and town squares, with a design that blends into the busy streetscape beyond. A cantilevered mezzanine, hand-laid marble terrazzo and red brick, warm lighting and greenery emphasize connections to outdoors that are continued throughout the bright open floor plates and landscaped terraces on levels above. A vibrant mix of retail, community, and conferencing spaces are open to the public, and a fitness center and lounge activate the site throughout the day.
