布伦兹维克学校高年级部(Brunswick Upper School)校区始自20世纪90年代初建造的一座单一建筑。几十年来,校园中不同的新建筑已引入了新的建筑语汇和材料,形成各种建筑的聚合。该项目旨在改变两处设施的用途,并创造一条能够令校园更具凝聚力的通道。
设计团队将一座老体育馆改造为演艺中心,并将一座毗邻的大楼改造为视觉艺术中心。设计团队在校园的核心位置嵌入一条玻璃通道,它连接着上述两处艺术设施以及其它三座建筑。这条通道在极大改善流通的同时,也有助于将校园内建筑连为一体。
高年级部翻新改造是SOM为这所历史悠久的新英格兰预科学校完成的多个项目之一。其它项目包括为该校低年级部和初中校园所作的总体规划以及若干建筑的设计。
