布鲁克菲尔德地产合伙公司(Brookfield Property Partners)的西曼哈顿项目是一个50万平方米(500万平方英尺)的新开发项目,标志着未曾充分开发的曼哈顿远西区即将复兴。SOM设计的该项目由两幢20万平方米(200万平方英尺)的办公塔楼、一幢844单元住宅楼、20,900平方米(225,000平方英尺)零售和餐饮配套设施以及一公顷(两英亩)的公共开放空间组成。

西曼哈顿项目与第九和第十大道以及西31街和西33街接壤,是中城商务区与滨州车站建筑群之间的重要枢纽,同时也是通往哈德逊城市广场以及切尔西北端的门户。这两个全街区总体规划围绕一系列不同的公共开放空间展开。这将开辟出独具特色的休息区,呈现动态的行人街景,从而通过适宜步行的西32街延伸段将莫伊尼汉车站与曼哈顿远西区相连。在建造了1.1公顷(2.6英亩)覆盖连通滨州车站与新泽西州及纽约上州的铁路轨道的站台后,此开发项目才得以实施。

两座呈优雅弧度的办公塔楼构成了通向西曼哈顿中央开放空间的门户。这些大厦将成为西曼哈顿的新地标。此外,本开发项目西南部分的住宅楼将全天24小时担当街区的支柱角色。

SOM设计了总体规划,并负责建造所有三幢大厦,与SLCE Architects就项目的住宅楼部分开展合作。Field Operations的James Corner负责景观建筑设计。办公塔楼拟申请LEED®黄金级别认证。
